ONION-DILL BUNS
1 cup water
2 tbsp.oil
2 tbsp. honey or other sweetener
1 small to medium onion, minced
1 tsp. dill seed or dill weed
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. salt
3 cups whole wheat flour (approx.)
3 tbsp. gluten flour
1 tbsp. instant active dry yeast
Measure all ingredients into Bosch or other mixing bowl and mix to make firm dough. Knead by machine or by hand until dough is elastic. Pat dough out on lightly oiled countertop to ¾” thick. Shape into buns of any shape, or sprinkle top of dough lightly with flour and cut with biscuit cutter. Place on parchment-lined baking sheets. Let rise until double and bake @ 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes about 1 dozen buns and also great pizza dough, too!
