Bible School and Resource Center Dedication

On March 14, 2010 the Chestnut Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, celebrated the Grand Opening of their Bible School & Resource Center, which is located on the church premises at 8700 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118.
This event was attended by about 90 people, who enjoyed Vegan-Style Cuisine, and entertainment. The event continued with a prayer dedication and a ribbon cutting ceremony. At the conclusion, a total of 10 individuals filled out cards requesting Bible studies!
The Bible School’s mission statement is: to help, equip, empower, nurture and send disciples into our communities to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible School is equipped with books, literature, tracts, Bible study lessons, CD’s, DVD’s and Bibles for growing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
The Bible School also has a training program which teaches individuals how to give Bible studies to anyone interested in learning about God.

March 20 – International Sabbath Celebration!

Come celebration cultural diversity Sabbath at Chestnut Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church! We invite you to wear an outfit from your family’s heritage, or a country that you have visited, and worship God who offers salvation for every nation, tribe, language and people!
On this day we will especially be interceding in prayer for the missionary efforts around the world. If you have family and friends you would like to intercede for, please come and we will join you in praying for them.
Following the service, we will join together in an International Fellowship Meal. Bring something (entree, dessert, salad and/or drink) from your cultural heritage and join in the feast!

Derek Sandstrom In Concert – November 28 @ 11 am

We are excited to welcome Derek Sandstrom to share music and testimony during the worship service on Sabbath, November 28 at 11am.
Derek is a contemporary Christian singer/songwriter. His music reflects the peace and joy of knowing Jesus Christ, and encourages his hearers to go deeper in their own relationship with God.

Food Drive

A Big Thank you to everyone who helped!
Our food drive for PhilAbundance this year was a real success. A lot of people helped out and gathered and donated a whole heaping pile of non-perishables for the local food banks – 1200 pounds worth!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the Thanksgiving season a little better for so many people this year.
We also gathered enough for 15 food baskets for local families who needed a little helping out. Thank you to all the volunteers who put those baskets together.
