Philadelphia Youth Challenge Celebration Weekend
Jul 06, 2009
We had a wonderful Youth Challenge celebration weekend July 31 – August 1!
Hearing testimonies of God’s goodness, enjoying music and worship – we celebrated all the Lord had done this summer!
If you weren’t able to make it, check out the summer review videos and get a taste of all God did! You can also listen to the audio testimonies from the YC team members from the worship service that day.
God is so amazing and we praise Him for all He did through this team this summer!

Christmas Concert

Christmas Concert
One Incredible Moment
Our Christmas Concert this year was by all accounts a wonderful success. A Joyous evening of excellent music set in a sleepy starlit Bethlehem street. Our kids choir performed a charming play within a play exploring the truth of the Christmas story through a fun bout of “investigative reporting” and heartfelt singing. The adult choir filled the church with full praise as they too told the story in a series of monologues, narratives, solos, and rafter-shaking mass choir numbers. The evening ended with a contemplative call to lay burdens at the cross and a final medley of Christmas carols during which the audience joined in. The community turned out in full force with over 240 people filling the church that night.

A Bountiful Harvest
Nov 24, 2008

On November 15, over 20 volunteers went door-to-door, inviting our neighbors to give to our food drive for the needy. All food was given to a local organization, Philabundance, who will distribute the items to those in greatest need.
I am pleased to say that together with our Chestnut Hill community we have collected in the neighborhood of 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food! This is in addition to the fresh and canned food that we collected as a church for the 12 Thanksgiving Baskets given to those in need in our church community!
Thank you so much for your generosity! Together, by Jesus’ power, we can make a difference!
