Scripture: Matthew 11:25-30
Meditation:
“The abiding rest—who has it? That rest is found when all self-justification, all reasoning from a selfish standpoint, is put away. Entire self-surrender, an acceptance of His ways, is the secret of perfect rest in His love. We must learn His meekness and lowliness before we experience the fulfillment of the promise, “Ye shall find rest unto your souls.” It is by learning the habits of Christ that self becomes transformed,—by taking His yoke, and then submitting to learn." – The Review and Herald, April 25, 1899

Scripture: Mark 10:17-31
Meditation:
_"Christ called for him to choose between heavenly treasure and worldly greatness. Self must yield; he must give his will into Christ’s control. The young ruler had the privilege of becoming a co-heir with Christ to the heavenly treasure. But he must take up the cross and follow the Savior in the path of self-denial. The choice was left with him. . .Christ’s dealing with the young man contains lessons for us all. . .Only those who will say, “Lord, all I have and all I am is Yours,” will God acknowledge as His sons and daughters." Scripture: Proverbs 11:25
Meditation:
“Whatever we render to God is, through His mercy and generosity, placed to our account as faithful stewards. . . . The glory of God is the joy and the blessing of all created beings. When we seek to promote His glory we are seeking for ourselves the highest good which it is possible for us to receive. . . . God calls for the consecration to His service of every faculty, of every gift, you have received from Him. He wants you to say, with David: “All things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee” (1 Chron. 29: 14)." – God’s Amazing Grace, p. 60
